My discipline master lincoln ng sent us an email on the LASTEST school rule.


Dear Student,

We have received numerous emails and feedbacks on our student attire from staff and our neighbouring residents. The table below serves as a guide
On the appropriate attire for RP students. Please kindly adhere to it. You may have noticed that disciplinary actions have so far not been taken against you if you fall under the unacceptable attired dressing category. At RP, we treat student as young adults and expect self discipline. If there comes to a point where the disciplinary committee needs to conduct enforcement on attire issue, we will have no choice but to enforce it. Please treasure the ‘freedom’ you have so far as we want you too, as much as possible, enjoy your 3 years stay in RP.

Examples of Unacceptable Attire
1. Attire with offensive messages(also not talking about you.. zzz)
2. Torn clothing(you think we beggar arh)
3. Shorts and Singlet( Except during sports activity ) (weather very hot lea!)
4. Short dresses (okay this one i agree)
5. Dropped waist Jeans, Pants and Bermudas, mini-shorts/skirts which reveals undergarment (spongebob boxers!)
7. Sleeveless T-shirts (except during sports activity)
8. Provocative & revealing attire (e.g. exposed midriffs, bare backs, spaghetti straps, cropped or tube top) (agreed)
8. Long hair for guys (e.g. covering eye-brows, ears or collars, tying of hair is not acceptable)
9. Piercing rings or studs on the eyebrow, lips and tongue. Not more then 3 piercing on each ear. (this is damn stupid. think we still secondary school meh.)
10. Outrageous hair style (MOHAWK!)
11. Artificially coloured hair (bright colouring) (damn you. so what if i like it pink? its MY problem and this is poly lor.)
12. Slippers & Sandals without heel straps (did NUM bribe you?)
13. Caps (except for safety reasons) (ZZZ! -.-)

Student caught breaching the code on attire are to provide truthful identity information when requested. Polytechnic Student Card/ NRIC is to be shown upon request. Student found in attempt to provide false particulars or to run/walk away when caught will be dealt with more severely.
Please note that a mandatory fine will be issued to student caught breaching the code on attire and letters will be send to their parent(s).
No exceptions to the fine will be allowed when students are caught breaching the code on attire.
For subsequent offender/s, they may be dealt with more severely.


Please note that Facilitators help have been sought to report any discipline breaches such as smoking and dressing to the disciplinary committee. All information received will be recorded and disciplinary actions would be taken against the said student.
